You don't know who your father is?!

This is a hilarious one. And here I was.., thinking that only the bastard children of prostitutes and sperm donors wouldn't know who their father was. Oh shoot... did I just imply that a whole bunch of people who have father issues are the bastard offspring of whores and test tubes?

AYAH CONTROVERSY: "Tell Your Children NOT to Call You AYAH"
Friday, January 22, 2010

The following story is being circulated in the Malaysian blogosphere and email network.

A man came home from work and his children ran to him and called out ‘AYAH! AYAH!’.

His neighbor got very upset and said to him, “Can you please tell YOUR children NOT to call YOU ‘AYAH'?”

The man asked, “Why?”

The neighbor retorted, “Because MY children call ME ’AYAH’ too. They might get confused and mistake YOU for their father.”

Then the man told his neighbour, "Are you not ashamed to say that your children do not know who is their ‘AYAH'. So you are saying by using the word ‘AYAH’, your children will call me "AYAH" too without knowing who is their father."

The neighbour said, "YES, ONLY I should use the word ‘AYAH".

The man said, "Then there is something wrong in what you are teaching your children. They are NOT sure and do NOT know who is their ‘AYAH’!"

Lol. That's kick ass funny dude. I've been following your blog for sometime and it gave a brilliant insights on Malaysian dilemma. Really feel pity that the nation is run by clowns and morons and slowly we are slipping into the Dark Ages. We need someone to really make a change. Quick.

let say i engineer new genetic of kambing and i want those kambings to be called "j**ses".and i build slaughter house franchise called "pusat penyembelihan j**ses".is that possible that one's to be confused, with quite similar words?is that your argument ?. i could understand,if word "Allah" is used in bible, instead word "God" is used in it.the problem is,how to translante "God" in malay,I think you know that "God" means "tuhan".simple.making this issue into political mileage wont solve anything.

Rakuban, that's the whole point. Allah IS used in the bible. The arabic ones.

And your example of the slaughterhouse is ridiculous. It is not the use of the Jesus which will be offensive, but fact that you associate it with a slaughterhouse.

sorry if anyone is offended,i dont mean to,but i just want to simplify things.

if bible in arabic use word "Allah" it may be understood.my freind this is malaysia,we have word "tuhan"

plus in Arabic, actually there is word "Illah".maybe there is history allowing to use the word "Allah",mutual agrement or somewhat similar things.

of course it offend me,as muslim and christian have different concept of god.

let say there is sentence like this

"Allah mempunyai anak"

it offended me as it interfere with my religion.

but if it is written

"tuhan mempunyai anak"
i dont really care much.

in arabic countries both Islam and Christian have tradition. Those two religion come from same origin,
so there is different bond and understanding.

in malaysia, both Islam and Christian came later.so the understanding of the religion is differnt in the country of origin.

In my oppinion the best aproach is,your religion is yours and mine is mine.It prevents from extreme intrepretion of religion.

further more, not translating word "God" to "Allah" doesnt ifluence much of Christian teaching/faith,as in English Bible, word "God" is used.

again I dont intend to degrade other religion, sorry if it souds so
